About Ninja

To positively impact people's lives every day, in every home around the world.

How Ninja Was Born

We began as Euro-Pro Operating LLC in 1994, founded by Mark Rosenzweig in Montreal, Canada. The company initially focused on household appliances including steam cleaners and ironing systems. In 2003, we relocated our headquarters to Needham, Massachusetts, and in 2007 launched the Shark brand with groundbreaking vacuum technology. The Ninja brand was introduced in 2009 under the leadership of Mark Barrocas, starting with high-performance blenders that disrupted the kitchen appliance market.

In 2015, we rebranded the parent company to SharkNinja to unify our two iconic brands. Our growth accelerated with innovations like the Ninja Foodi in 2018 and expansion into new categories. In mid-2023, we entered the outdoor cooking arena with the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill & Smoker, bringing our expertise in versatile, high-performance appliances to backyard cooking. We became a publicly traded company on the NYSE in July 2023.

Today, we operate across 35 household sub-categories with over $4.3 billion in annual net sales. We hold more than 4,500 patents globally and employ over 2,800 people across nine countries. Our commitment to innovation has earned us recognition including Fast Company's ranking as the No. 27 Most Innovative Company and No. 2 in Design in 2025.

The Technology

At the core of Ninja is Ninja Woodfire Technology - uses electricity for heat while burning real hardwood pellets purely for flavor, requiring only half a cup of pellets to create authentic smokehouse taste.
